This exciting tour departs Marseille at 11:30 and from Aix-en-Provence at noon.

It is now possible to explore the lavender fields up to the middle of August and not many people are aware of this, although some fields in certain areas of the region are harvested at an earlier date.

This is a beautiful tour as it provides you with the opportunity to explore the rural areas of Provence, which takes you away from the main cities. It is here that you will be able to take amazing photography of many famous landscapes as well as nature at its very best.

The tour takes around 2 hours from Aix-en-Provence and if you begin the tour from Marseille then it will take 30 minutes more.

Once you begin the tour, you will enjoy a drive through the most picturesque area of Provence - the Luberon Mountain. The aim of the tour is to reach the northern areas known as the Mont Ventoux, which is actually a part of the Tour de France.

Eventually, we will reach the village of Sault and this is considered to be the capital of Lavender production. It’s a small yet charming village, where you can browse and purchase Lavender products. Many of these products are exclusive to the area which means that you won’t find them in the larger cities. This can include sausages, nougat and even goat cheese, so we encourage you to try the products and purchase them if you wish.

Once we arrive at the area, you will be given plenty of time to explore the Lavender fields. We can take photos of you if you are travelling alone while travelling as a group provides a great opportunity to meet new people. In Sault, you will have free time so you can explore the village, have a drink and soak up the atmosphere while the tour can be more flexible if you wish as our guide might make recommendations that offer something different such as making additional stops to take photographs.

This tour is available from the last ten days of July and right through until the middle of August. Before this period, the lavender tours will cover a different area that is known as Valensole.

The tour begins just after midday, so we advise you to have lunch before leaving and to bring water with you. However, you will be given an opportunity to stop and enjoy food and drink during the tour.
